An assistance company is a mediator between an insurance company and its partners (medical institutions, travel agencies, transport companies). It is responsible for providing services to travellers while they are abroad according to the terms of the Insurance Contract.
If an insured event occurs, your phone call at the emergency number is processed by the contact centre of the assistant company, which:
- registers the insured event;
- specifies the location and the problem;
- organizes the necessary assistance via its representative office or other provider in the country of your stay (calls a doctor, transports you to the hospital, etc.);
- issues a guarantee of payment for the provided services;
- coordinates your actions and actions of service providers;
- pays for the provided services.
